The MEETING project (MEETings for INnovation Growth in SMEs: Enhancing collaboration with innovative start-ups), co-funded by the European Commission under the European Programme Horizon 2020, aims to design and validate new initiatives to support the open innovation processes of small and medium-sized enterprises able to strengthen collaboration with innovative start-ups.

The design activities will take place in three co-design workshops, during which the staff members of the three project partners (Fondazione ISI, TVT Innovation, HAMAG-BICRO) will collaborate to design and validate good practices able to meet this challenge. The workshops will also be open to the participation of stakeholders from outside the partnership with appropriate skills and knowledge to contribute to the final outcome of the project.

The final output of the activities will be the elaboration of a document (Design Option Paper) in which the partners will have to describe all the constitutive elements of the SME innovation support initiatives co-designed during the workshops.

Job Description

In order to increase the effectiveness of teamwork activities, the partnership is looking for a facilitator, who will carry out the following activities:

• structure the work activities of the workshops in agreement with the project partners;
• coordinate the designing work of the group;
• ensure the elaboration of the expected outputs for each workshop;
• identify the most appropriate facilitation tools and techniques to achieve this objective;
• draw up and return to the project team summary reports of the work done during each workshop.

The MEETING project will take place in 12 months, from July 2020 to June 2021. The project activities include three workshops of two half days each, scheduled for the months of:

• September 2020
• December 2020
• May 2021

Given the difficulties produced by the covid-19 health emergency, the workshops will be carried out digitally, through the use of online platforms for remote meetings. In case the health situation will reach a positive outcome in a short time, the partners will carry out the activities in presence in Pisa, Toulon and Zagreb offices.

Requirements 

• Citizenship of a Member State of the European Union;
• Fluent knowledge of the English language;
• Previous experience of facilitation in areas coherent with the goals of the project (Innovation Design, Design Thinking, Service Design, Lean Startup, etc.);
• Knowledge of specific facilitation techniques and tools for online group work sessions;
• Availability to travel in the project territories (Italy, Croatia, France).

• Curriculum Vitae in European format;
• Detailed economic quotation;
• Technical offer, containing a description of the tools and methodologies that will be used to carry out the planned activities;
• Any further documents useful for the evaluation of the application.

The documents must be written in English. In the formulation of the economic proposal it should be considered that, in case that the workshops will be held in presence, the travel, food and accommodation expenses sustained by the facilitator will be reimbursed by partners up to 500€ for each workshop.

The deadline for submitting applications is set on 14th September 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The offers received will be evaluated in a comparative manner by the MEETING project coordination team, examining the level of experience of the applicant and the technical and economic quality of the proposal (evaluation grid).

Il progetto MEETING (MEETings for INnovation Growth in SMEs: Enhancing collaboration with innovative start-ups), co-finanziato dalla Commissione Europea nell'ambito del Programma Europeo Horizon 2020, ha l'obiettivo di progettare e validare nuove iniziative di supporto ai processi di open innovation delle piccole e medie imprese per rafforzare la loro collaborazione con le startup innovative.

Le attività di progettazione si svolgeranno all'interno di tre workshop, durante i quali i membri degli staff dei tre partner di progetto (Fondazione ISI, TVT Innovation, HAMAG-BICRO) collaboreranno per disegnare e validare buone pratiche in grado di rispondere a questa sfida. I workshop di co-progettazione saranno aperti alla partecipazione di soggetti esterni al partenariato con competenze adeguate a contribuire al risultato finale del progetto.

L'output finale delle attività sarà l'elaborazione di un documento (Design Option Paper) all’interno del quale i partner dovranno descrivere tutti gli elementi costitutivi delle iniziative di supporto all'innovazione delle PMI co-progettate durante i workshop.

Job Description

Per aumentare l'efficacia delle attività di lavoro di gruppo, il partenariato è alla ricerca di una figura di facilitatore, che dovrà svolgere le seguenti attività:

• Strutturare le attività di lavoro dei workshop in accordo con i partner di progetto;
• Coordinare i lavori di progettazione di gruppo;
• Garantire l'elaborazione degli output previsti per ogni sessione di lavoro di gruppo;
• Individuare gli strumenti e le tecniche di facilitazione più adeguate a raggiungere tale obiettivo;
• Redigere e restituire al team di progetto dei report di sintesi del lavoro svolto durante ogni workshop.

Il progetto MEETING si svolgerà in 12 mesi, da luglio 2020 a giugno 2021. Le attività progettuali prevedono tre workshop da due mezze giornate ciascuno, programmati per i mesi di:

• settembre 2020
• dicembre 2020
• maggio 2021

Viste le difficoltà prodotte dall'emergenza sanitaria covid-19, i workshop saranno svolti con modalità digitali, attraverso l'utilizzo di piattaforme online per meeting a distanza. Nell'auspicato caso che la situazione sanitaria giungesse ad un decorso positivo in tempi brevi, i partner si organizzeranno per svolgere le attività in presenza, presso le sedi di Pisa, Tolone e Zagabria.

Requisiti richiesti

• Cittadinanza di uno Stato membro dell’Unione Europea;
• Conoscenza fluente della lingua inglese;
• Esperienze pregresse di facilitazione in ambiti coerenti con le finalità del progetto (Innovation Design, Design Thinking, Service Design, Lean Startup, ecc.);
• Conoscenza di tecniche e strumenti di facilitazione specifiche per sessioni di lavoro di gruppo svolte online;
• Disponibilità ad effettuare trasferte nei territori di progetto (Italia, Croazia, Francia).

La documentazione dovrà essere redatta in lingua inglese. Nella formulazione della proposta economica si consideri che, nell'eventualità che i workshop saranno svolti in presenza, le spese di viaggio, vitto e alloggio sostenute dal facilitatore saranno rimborsate fino ad un valore di 500€ per workshop svolto.

Il termine ultimo per l'invio delle candidature è fissato al 14 Settembre 2020 alle ore 17:00. Le offerte pervenute saranno valutate in modo comparativo dal team di coordinamento del progetto MEETING, esaminando il livello di esperienza del proponente e la qualità tecnica ed economica della proposta (griglia di valutazione)
